    Transforming Knowledge into Wisdom: a Grounded Theory Approach

    Introduction: The aim of this qualitative study was to analyze the process of transforming knowledge into wisdom. We aimed to understand the meaning of knowledge and wisdom, the ways how to transform knowledge into wisdom, obstacles and strategies to facilitate and accelerate access to wisdom and its useful role on the life and the role of books, libraries and librarians in transformation of knowledge into wisdom. Research Method: This is a qualitative study with grounded theory based on Strauss & Corbin model (1998). To collect data we used deep interview with 22 participants that were selected through specific criteria including 17 men (77.28%) and 5 women (22.72%) in purposeful theoretical method. The data were analyzed with three coding stages of Strauss & Corbin model (1998), open, axial and selective coding. Results: After analyzing data, about 300 open codes (concepts), and then 103 main categories were formed. Some core categories with their related sub-categories were gained that were ended in the main and last category titled: “the process of transforming knowledge into wisdom” based on the participants views. Conclusion: Internalizing of knowledge results in individuals and social behaviours or transforming knowledge into wisdom is based on understanding and discovery of facilitating and speeding up sterategies of the process of transforming knowledge into wisdom to be able to observe wisdom behaviours in the society

    Monitoring of praseodymium(III) ions in aqueous solutions, soil and sediment samples by a PVC membrane sensor based on a furan-triazole derivative

    A furan-triazole derivative has been explored as an ionophore for preparation of a highly selective Pr(III) membrane sensor. The proposed sensor exhibits a Nernstian response for Pr(III) activity over a wide concentration range with a detection limit of 5.2×10-8 M. Its response is independent of pH of the solution in the range 3.0-8.8 and offers the advantages of fast response time. To investigate the analytical applicability of the sensor, it was applied successfully as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Pr(III) solution and also in the direct and indirect determination of trace Pr(III) ions in some samples

    زمینه و هدف: وجود ناهنجاری های وضعیتی، تأثیر نامطلوبی بر درک و تصور بدنی به خصوص در افراد جوان دارد. ناهنجاری ها اگر به موقع شناسایی و درمان نشوند ممکن است آثار نامطلوبی بر عملکرد فیزیولوژیک بدن داشته باشند. هدف این پژوهش، بررسی ناهنجاری های عضلانی اسکلتی ستون فقرات دانشجویان دختر پردیس دانشگاه فرهنگیان اراک و ارتباط آن با سلامت روان و کیفیت زندگی می باشد. روش بررسی: پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصیفی مقطعی و همبستگی محسوب می شود. در این مطالعه، نمونه ای 120 نفری از دانشجویان به روش تصادفی خوشه ای، انتخاب گردید. به منظور گردآوری داده های مربوط به ناهنجاری های عضلانی اسکلتی، از صفحه شطرنجی و آزمون سازمانی نیویورک و خط مرجع شاقولی و خط کش منعطف و جهت جمع آوری اطلاعات مربوط به کیفیت زندگی و سلامت روان از دو پرسشنامه ی معتبر GHQ و پرسشنامه سلامت روان گلد برگ استفاده شد. یافته ها: نتایج حاصل از تحلیل داده ها نشان داد که حدود 91 دانشجو معلمان دارای انواع مختلفی از ناهنجاری های عضلانی اسکلتی بودند و تنها بین کیفیت زندگی دانشجویان با ناهنجاری های عضلانی اسکلتی رابطه معکوس و معنی داری وجود دارد (05/0>P). نتیجه گیری: ناهنجاری های عضلانی اسکلتی، نه تنها در سلامت جسمی و کارکرد اندام ها موثر است، بلکه بر فاکتورهای روان شناسی نیز تأثیرگذار خواهد بود. بنابراین می توان نتیجه گرفت که شناسایی به موقع آن ها تأثیر به سزایی در سلامت جسمی و روحی افراد جامعه خواهد داشت

    Design and manufacturing of the Myoelecterical prosthesis in compared to Mechanical prosthesis must also effectively, smart, light, strong and permanence. It is time consuming and expensive that ultimately leads to significant increases in the price of Myoelecterical prosthesis. Therefore, considering the high cost of these prostheses, hence, assessment of psychological and social adaptation between two groups must be clear and explicit. In this regards, present study was conducted on this topic. In this descriptive cross-sectional analytical study, two groups compared to each other from quality of life, participants was two groups of 20 below elbow amputation veterans that use from Mechanical or Myoelectrical prosthesis that refer to central technical orthopedic Kosar. For gathering the data we use TPEAS questionnaire. This questionnaire evaluates participants from 3 items: psychosocial adaptation, functional limitation and satisfaction of life. For data analysis use to t independent and ANOVA test. This research showed that there are significant differentiations in psychosocial adaptation between two groups. The findings identified that Myoelecterical group higher psychosocial and social adaptation in compare to Mechanical group.     EXAMINING THE EFFECT OF TARGETED ORGANIZATIONAL FORGETTING ON JOB PERFORMANCE IN ARVAND PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY

    Abstract. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of targeted organizational forgetting on job performance in Arvand Petrochemical Company. The current research, in terms of purpose, is in the applied research group and, in terms of research type, is in the category of descriptive-causal research. Considering the data collection tools, which their aim is to describe the conditions or the phenomenon examined, this research is of a descriptive study type and since data collection in thisstudy is supported by library studies and a questionnaire, it can be put into the field research group. The reliability of the questionnaire and its dimensions in this research was estimated using SPSS software and Cronbach's alpha. According to the result, which is above the minimum of 0.7, the reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed. The questionnaire consisted of three sections related to the considered variables and was ranked by Likert scale and the statistical population was measured. Thecoefficient between the variable of targeted organizational forgetting and the job performance is equal to 0.590 and the corresponding t value is 9.649>1.96, so according to the t test, with a critical value of 0.05 at 95% confidence level, the null hypothesis can be rejected. As a result, with a 95% confidence, it can be said that targeted organizational forgetting has a significant effect on job performance. The results of the analysis of the first hypothesis of the research showed that "targeted organizational forgetting has a significant effect on job performance in Arvand Petrochemical Company". The coefficientbetween the targeted organizational forgetting and organizational learning equals 0.766 and the corresponding t value is 9.775>1.96, which according to t test with a critical value of 0.05 at a 95% confidence level, the null hypothesis can be rejected. As a result, with a 95% confidence, it can be said that targeted organizational forgetting has a significant effect on organizational learning.Key words: targeted organizational forgetting, organizational learning, job performance, knowledge managemen

    Effect of an Educational Self-Care Program on Knowledge and Performance in Patients with Coronary Syndrome

    Aims: The most important causes for mortality rate and poor quality of life in cardiovascular patients arise from insufficient and inappropriate self-care. This study aimed to examine the effect of an educational self-care program on awareness and performance in patients with Coronary syndrome. Materials & Methods: This is an experimental study conducted in hospitals affiliated with Qom University of medical science. 70 Patients were randomly assigned to experiment (n=35) and control (n=35) groups. Awareness and performance data were collected through interviewed questionnaire and observation. Then the patients in experiment group received 2 educational sessions each lasting 20 minutes during the hospital stay, and also were given an educational booklet review, while control patients received routine care. Data on all patients’ awareness and performance was again collected one month later. The awareness and performance of two groups were compared using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U tests. Findings: The difference between two groups in awareness area was -5.39 (p<0.001) and in performance area was -19.49 after intervention (p<0.001). The mean of changes of total awareness score of self-care was 0.57±1.14 in control group (p<0.004) and 8.40±9.39 in experimental group (p<0.001). The mean of self-care performance scores has been increased about 32.13±6.32 in experiment group (p<0.001) and the improving self-care performance of control group was 0.98±1.11 (p<0.001;).
